Innovations and Benefits
Based on the X-ray fluorescence and selective transmission, the ‘X-SETA’ technology can be applied to black plastics for discrimination among plastic families. It can be realized into a compact, quick-use device to be used everywhere.
Use
It can be used to discriminate black, RAEE plastics from post-consumption ones, or for qualification of industrial recycling materials.
Applications and ongoing Activities
A prototype is under construction, testing are in progress and analysis algorithms are under development, aimed at the evaluation of its possible applications. Contacts have been started up with SIRMAX SpA (Padua) and RAVAGO SpA (Milan).
