ANTHOSART GREEN TOOL: TO SELECT AND TO DESIGN WITH THE SPECIES OF THE FLORA OF ITALY

The Anthosart Green Tool is a free online tool to design urban green spaces, sustainable and coherent with the surrounding territory, with the species of the Flora of Italy. The tool also allows you to know the cultural value of the species of the Flora of Italy and to select species coherent with the territory in order to bring Nature back into the city.
Use
The Anthosart Green tool is addressed to all those who want to discover and design with the species of the Flora of Italy to create green works (flowerbeds, gardens, parks, green roofs, borders, etc.) with less environmental impact, coherent with the territory. Green spaces that, if properly enhanced, can also play an environmental and educational role (conservation of biodiversity, awareness and expansion of knowledge about the Italian flora heritage).
Applications and ongoing Activities
ENEA supports Public Administrations in the use of the Anthosart Green Tool to select the species of the Flora of Italy and to design the green works.
Through the tool and the involvement of nurserymen, ENEA promotes the expansion of the offer on the market of the species of the Flora of Italy and their environmental and cultural value.
In addition, ENEA implements scientific communication projects for the promotion of biodiversity issues, knowledge and value of the Italian floricultural heritage, environmental sustainability related to the floriculture sector.
Specifically, ENEA has coordinated the projects FLORINTESA and ANTHOSART, funded by MIUR (Law 6/2000 for the dissemination of scientific culture), with Forum Plinianum and the Italian Botanical Society, for the promotion of the Flora of Italy and the innovative use of spontaneous plants for the design of green works.
