ENEA has developed simulation processes able to reproduce the climatic variability typical of the Mediterranean area, using high-resolution daily meteorological data coming from a climate model set up by ENEA itself. The system allows to perform forecast analysis.
Use
Impact assessments of climate change on olive trees and vines, with particular reference to: yield assessment, pest infestation and economic return.
Supply of services for the optimization of production processes, through a suitable forecasting analysis system.
Applications and ongoing Activities
The system is under development to be adopted as an operational tool by the companies operating in the agricultural sector.
