CERTIFICATION OF PHOTOVOLTAIC MODULES
Innovations and Benefits
The photovoltaic modules testing "PV Smart" laboratory of ENEA performs certification tests on flat photovoltaic modules and on thin film crystalline silicon cells aimed at achieving the following main objectives:
- evaluate the quality of the products;
- evaluate the energy performance;
- determine their degree of reliability and life time (degradation).
Use
Compulsory certification for the marketing and operation of photovoltaic modules and systems for residential and industrial construction. The facility is also able to characterize components of concentrated photovoltaic systems and materials for use in different fields (construction, aerospace, etc.,).
Applications and ongoing Activities
The laboratory, accredited by ACCREDIA, qualifies and certifies the photovoltaic components in the framework of numerous national and European projects carried out in collaboration with manufacturing companies.
