DYSCO VIRTUAL LABORATORY FOR VIBRATION AND SEISMIC TESTS

Innovations and Benefits

The system allows you to monitor the motion in the space of special markers suitably positioned on the structure in order to provide indications on the optimal intervention methods to be used for the seismic protection of civil and industrial structures, delicate equipment and works of art.
It is the first example in Italy of virtual laboratory for remote shared experimentation, with direct participation of the partners and exchange of data in real time. The remote authorized users can interact with ENEA operators in the control room, discuss in real time the results obtained during the tests and agree on the various phases of the experimentation and / or qualification process.

Use

Laboratory and in situ monitoring of relative displacements between structural elements during seismic tests. Validation of numerical models through assimilation of experimental data in the laboratory. Remote shared experimentation.

Applications and ongoing Activities

In situ monitoring of the cracking pattern and seismic performance of the Orvieto cathedral. Acquisition of displacement data during seismic tests on a vibrating table. Remote shared experimentation during seismic tests.
