The advantage offered by ECOTRIP© lies in the possibility of providing timely and geo-referenced estimates of consumption and polluting emissions, thus creating a useful tool for monitoring and assessing the energy-environmental impacts of road traffic.
Use
The recipients of the service are the Decision-makers involved in the definition of mobility management and urban traffic policy. The product also meets all the requirements to contribute to the development of new applications addressed to the insurance market for the management of new policies that reward those who pollute less.
Applications and ongoing Activities
ECOTRIP© has been installed and tested on the hardware platforms of the Floating Car Data system of Octotelematics, a company specialized in the provision of telematic systems and services for the insurance and automotive market.
