Innovations and Benefits
ENEA has set up a technology for the production of substances with low environmental impact for plant health protection and soil fertilization.
These substances are extracted from the neem cake plant and can replace some highly polluting chemical products, currently withdrawn from the market.
Among the advantages of these products are: effectiveness, low cost, and very limited environmental impact.
Use
Low cost insecticide, nematicide and fertilizer used in agriculture and for the control of harmful vector insects (Aedes albopictus and Culicoides imicola).
Applications and ongoing Activities
ENEA collaborates with the "Consigli dell’Esperto" s.r.l. company that commercializes the product.
It participates in FAO's TECA (TEChnologies and practices for small Agricultural producers) platform, for the dissemination and exchange of sustainable technologies and practices for small agricultural producers, thanks to the experience gained in the field and the collaboration activities with operators from Cameroon.
