Use
Manufacture of large area organic electronic and optoelectronic devices and systems for: lighting (OLED), photovoltaic energy production (OPV), sensors, electronics (OTFT).
Continuous cycle manufacturing of devices and systems.
Applications and ongoing Activities
TRIPODE public-private laboratory and related projects (RELIGHT and SMARTAGS):
• study and development of printed organic optoelectronic devices: OLED, OPV, OTFT, sensors;
• study and development of functional inks based on active, conductive and support materials;
• development of processes for the manufacturing of devices.
European FP7 TDK4PE project: development of a design platform for devices manufactured for ink jet.
Air Green 2 project: development of self-cleaning and super hydrophobic layers for aircraft wings, through continuous printing and structuring.
Availability of various process techniques (gravure printing, flexography, screen printing, ink jet printing, doctor blade, slot die coating, hot embossing).
Collaborations with IMAST, ST Microelectronics, FIAT Research Center, Ferrania, VIMAR, Electrolux, Artemide, FOS Group, Finmeccanica-ALENIA, CIRA, BTicino, Trento IRST, CNR, VTT, EVG, COATEMA, Polyera, CEA, CNRS, CSEM, UAB, University of Naples, Salerno Chemnitz, Algarve, Thessaloniki, Warsaw, Lodz.
