Climate action - Partnerships for the goals

For achieving the objectives

Agenda 2030

On 26th July 2017 ENEA and the Italian Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea (MATTM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at launching a collaboration programme for cooperation with and technology transfer to developing countries.

ENEA Activities:

The Territorial and Production Systems Sustainability Department has a long-consolidated collaboration tradition with MATTM on almost all issues of mutual interest.

This relationship got strengthened in 2015 when ENEA co-signed, with the MATTM Directorate General for Sustainable Development and International Relations (SVI), some agreements for the study and analysis of technological options for the efficient and sustainable use of resources, a national sustainable development policy and technology transfer to developing countries.

Under such agreements, experts from the ENEA Sustainability Department, upon request and on behalf of MATTM itself, took part in the works of the United Nations 2015 Paris Climate Change Conference and the 2016 Marrakech Climate Change Conference (COP22).

Duration: 5 years
