For achieving the objectives

Agenda 2030

ENEA is coordinator of the project funded by NATO SPS and implemented with funds by MAECI under the initiative  EU CBNR Risk Mitigation-Centre of Excellence, aimed at validating a novel tool for early detection of radiation exposure. The absorbed radiation dose is rapidly detected using biomarkers that can measure genetic damage,  oxidative stress and inflammation.

Recipient country:

Egypt

Period:

2016 - 2018

ENEA Activities:

Development of methods, biomarkers validation on patients, setting up of lab facilities in Egypt and training of the Egyptian researchers, e-training.

Status: In progress
