The project by the NGO Green Cross Italy (GCIt), funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) through the call for applications for emergency interventions in West Africa, with ENEA’s technical support, is aimed at promoting agricultural development in Matam Region and ensuring young people from north-east Senegal an alternative to migration. Young people in villages are delivered technical training on the installed photovoltaic plants, so that they become experts in managing the technological systems thanks to their on-the-job training.

  • Technical support for photovoltaic plants components
  • Verification of the installation of photovoltaic water-pumping systems in 5 selected villages
  • Basic training to a selected group of beneficiaries for managing the installed technologies

  • Participation in the technical assessment enterprises
