Funded under the European Neighbourhood Instrument (ENI), meetMED is aimed at nationally supporting the transition towards clean energy in all the South-East Mediterranean countries, especially MEDENER (Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Palestine, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Greece, Italy, France, Spain and Portugal) and RCREEE (Egypt and other Arab League countries) members. The recipient countries will see their renewable energy share increased in their national energy mix, which will lead them to develop new strategies and policies whilst incentivizing new, more responsible and sustainable investments, also by public awareness raising and technical training.
