The project by the NGO Centro Internazionale per la Pace tra i Popoli (CIPA), funded by MAECI-DGCS through the call for applications to support Civil Society Organisations and with ENEA’s technical support, is aimed at providing higher food security in the rural regions of North and Middle-West Burkina Faso and at raising greater awareness on sustainable social, economic and environmental development, thus encouraging efficient use of natural resources and clean energy along with the creation of local cooperatives.

ENEA Activities:
- Technical training to the teachers of the two training centres for sustainable agriculture in Koudougou and Ouahigouya
- Training on ‘Renewable Energy for Sustainable Agriculture’ to students from technical institutes
- Technical support for installing photovoltaic water pumping systems in 20 selected sites for higher crop production and in vegetable gardens of rural primary schools;
- Technical consulting for and support in encouraging the creation of cooperatives in the renewables sector
