For achieving the objectives

Agenda 2030

The project by the NGO Arci Cultura e Sviluppo (ARCS), funded by MAECI-DGCS through the call for applications to support Civil Society Organisations and with ENEA’s technical support, is aimed at encouraging food crop production in Pinar del Rio by increasing the capability of applying novel technologies and production systems to the local agriculture for higher production and enhanced post-crop phases in the northern area of the Country, often subject to food emergencies. To this purpose, an innovative process developed by ENEA is used, based on thermochemical gasification of plant and wood waste (biomass) to produce electricity for refrigeration processes to conserve the stored foodstuff longer.
