Designed under the Executive Protocol of the MoU between ENEA and the Italian Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea, the project provides for support to SMA (Sudan Meteorological Authority) by reinforcing the national early warning system for extreme weather events forecasts and for national and regional climate scenarios modelling.

In 2019 the project has been suspended for security problems arisen in Sudan.

  • Support to the project management and coordination
  • Training workshops in Sudan on weather forecasts
  • Training of local technicians on seasonal forecasts and climate scenarios modelling at the ENEA research centres
