Coordinated by ENEA and co-funded by the EU under the 2007-2013 ENPI CBC (Cross-Border Cooperation) in the Mediterranean Programme, the project promotes the implementation of an integrated approach for water management in semi-arid areas. The main aim is to strengthen the capability of managing water resources by improving technical know-how, infrastructure management, local governance and by identifying adequate provisions.

ENEA Activities:

  • Coordination of the project’s activities and financial management;
  • Communication and transfer of the project’s results (project web site, newsletters, educational brochures and information material, videos);
  • Development of a Decision Support System (DSS) integrated with geographic information systems (GIS);
  • Feasibility study for the environmental recovery of Torre Flavia’s marsh (North of –Rome)
