WASTEWATER AND ORGANIC WASTES TREATMENT
For achieving the objectives
Agenda 2030
ENEA can assess appropriate solutions for the management and treatment of wastewater, organic fraction of solid wastes, as well as organic residues from agro-food industry, providing their stabilization and energetic valorization, also as an integration to renewable energy production systems (e.g. Power-to-Gas). The final residues of such treatments may also be used as recycled fertilizing products.
Benefits and Advantages:
- sustainable management of wastewater, organic wastes from agro-industry or organic fractions
- production of renewable energy
- production of low-cost fertilising products
- environmental impact mitigation
ENEA Service:
- preliminary assessment and treatment cycle design
- technology transfer
- technical support
- consulting
- training
ENEA Activities:
Sustain Water Med – Network of demonstration activities for sustainable integrated wastewater treatment and reuse in the Mediterranean (2012-2016), Jordan, Morocco, Egypt, Tunisia.
EMWater – Efficient Management of Wastewater in Mediterranean Countries (2003),Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Turkey .
Keywords:
Environment, wastewater, wastes, biomass, solid and liquid residual biowastes, composting, anaerobic digestion, biomethane, power-to-gas.
