18/3/2021

The Department of Public Function (DFP) ranked ENEA top for its Performance Reports compared to all public administrations which fall under its ambit.

Specifically, the ENEA 2019 Performance Report, describing the activities conducted in terms of objectives and outcomes, scored 83/100 compared to an average of 62/100 for the 82 public administrations which fall under under  the DFP.

"The Public Function Department underlined the clarity of presentation and completeness of the information of our performance reports, highlighting how  consistency with previous documents and those of strategic, financial and budget planning was maintained", explained Diana Savelli, Head of  the ENEA Studies, Analyses and Evaluations Unit, which coordinates performance documents preparation for the Agency in collaboration with the entire organizational structure.

ENEA was also top-rated for its Performance Plan -which identifies the objectives for the 2020-2022 three-year period- scoring 7.83 / 10 compared to an average of 4.94 for the 82 public administrations evaluated.

"This is a substantial result, considering the multiple goals pursued by the Agency and their specificity - ranging from nuclear fusion to the circular economy - and the complex structure of the organization, which operates in research centers and laboratories scattered throughout the Country ”, Savelli said.

According to the evaluation by the Public Function, the 2019 report and the 2020-22 ENEA performance plan scored even higher than the previous year’s ones, which had scored 71/100 (compared to the current 83) and 5.5 / 10 (compared to 7.83) respectively.

"As repeatedly stated by ENEA President Federico Testa, also on official occasions, ENEA has significantly invested in activity planning and reporting, both to boost performance and clearly  and thoroughly show the objectives and resources deployed and the concrete results achieved ”, Savelli concluded.
