Water, energy and materials: a platform for an efficient use of resources in Central Europe is now online

6/7/2015

A platform for an efficient use of resources in central Europe (www.resourceefficiencyatlas.eu), containing documents, links, calls for events and useful tools for the actors involved in the resource efficiency sector, particularly the manufacturing SMEs, is now online.

The objective is promoting policies in support to the sector in keeping with the “EU 2020 Resource Efficiency Flagship Initiative” and the “Roadmap for a Resource Efficient Europe”.

To make it easier for users to navigate, the information have been divided according to countries (Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland) and topics (events, publications, tools and good practices).

SMEs, consultants, service centers and trade associations can download from the publications section a guide for the cost-benefit analysis, and useful information on possible funding sources for projects on the efficient use of water, energy and materials.

The “EDIT Value tool” developed within the project PRESOURCE to help companies assess their energy efficiency and find the best way to improve it, can be requested free of charge. ENEA is the Italian reference point for EDIT.

In addition, both private and public decision makers can access other countries’ legislation on resources in the publications sector, or look for virtuous examples in the best practices section.
