Un esperto ENEA nominato ‘Global contributor’ all’UNEP

Andrea Sonnino, ricercatore ENEA dell’Unità Tecnica Sviluppo Sostenibile ed Innovazione del Sistema Agro-Industriale è stato inserito come Global Contributor nel Food Security Section dell’UNEP, per la redazione della VI edizione del Global Environment Outlook (GEO6) del Programma delle Nazioni Unite per l'ambiente.

Sonnino è tornato in ENEA dopo aver ricoperto negli ultimi quattordici anni il ruolo di Direttore della Divisione Ricerca e Assistenza Tecnica della FAO. “Sono molto onorato di prendere parte a questo Gruppo di lavoro, tra i più importanti in sede UNEP,  certo di poter offrire un contributo che possa portare risultati di rilievo per ENEA e per il Paese.  Per me rappresenta anche l’opportunità di mettere a disposizione di tutti le mie conoscenze ed esperienze, fattori essenziali per coloro nei quali la passione per l’agricoltura e per lo sviluppo armonico dei territori ha germogliato molti anni fa ed è diventata una ragione di vita”.

L’UNEP opera dal 1972 contro i cambiamenti climatici  a favore della tutela dell’ambiente e dell’uso sostenibile delle risorse naturali, ha sede a Nairobi e può contare su personale particolarmente esperto.

Dear Andrea Sonnino,

Thank you for accepting to be nominated into the GEO 6 global pool of experts. Having completed the selection for roles and responsibilities, we would like to ask if you would be willing to serve as a Global Contributor in the Food Security section.

I would kindly ask that should you not wish to take up this role, you inform us by Thursday 19th February (CoB Nairobi). If we do not hear from you, we will assume that you are willing to have your name published on the GEO 6 website.
