The project by the Mauritanian NGO ECODEV, funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and with ENEA’s technical support, is aimed at diffusing photovoltaic systems in the Aftout Region, also by training young local technicians, in order to support cooperative farming and improve the quality of life in villages.

  • Installation of photovoltaic water pumping systems in women-led farming cooperatives
  • Installation of water ozonation treatment systems
  • Diffusion of solar kits for lighting, mobile-phones recharge, computer, refrigerators
  • Training of 30 young local technicians at the specialization training centre in Kaedi
  • Remote technical support by a group of experts
