Construction industry: Online survey to improve energy efficiency in buildings

21/2/2019

At the start a survey targeted at the operators of the construction sector on the use of the Building Information Modeling (BIM) to improve the energy performance of buildings throughout their life cycle. BIM is a digital model of the physical and functional characteristics of a building during its entire life cycle, enabling experts and technicians to dialogue and share the various processes relating to construction, management, maintenance and demolition of buildings, reducing costs and the environmental impact.

The survey is part of the European project Net-UBIEP[1], funded by the Horizon 2020 program and coordinated by ENEA, in which 13 partners from 7 European countries (Italy, Slovakia, Spain, Lithuania, Holland, Estonia , Croatia) take part. At the core of the project is the promotion of professional skills related to the use of BIM throughout the building chain.

The survey is targeted mainly at: public administrations, experts and designers (engineers / architects), technicians (installers / maintenance technicians), owners and / or tenants of buildings. All the interested parties will be able to answer specific questionnaires thanks to which they will also have the opportunity to participate in pilot courses.
