EIT Urban Mobility kick-starts its brand-new programme for early-stage start-ups. Application by May 31

Innovative start-ups engaged in developing new solutions for urban mobility can apply until May 31 for the call for the "Business Acceleration programme  launched by the EIT Urban Mobility". For the selected start-ups, the Programme provides: € 15.000 in equity-free funding, a six-month "business acceleration" plan offering  mentoring, coaching and accompanying services for the validation of technologies,  product-market fitting, contacts with investors, availability of co-working space in a selected location, as well as direct access to "living labs" and cities for the creation of new products and services and other benefits..

The initiative is set out by the European EIT Urban Mobility, of which ENEA is a core member, and aims to promote the development of advanced solutions to reduce congestion and increase efficiency in the transport system.  and make commuting more sustainable and faster, accelerating the transition towards low or zero emission transport modalities.

The EIT Urban Mobility gathers 48 partners (13 cities, 17 automotive and ICT companies, and 18 between universities and research centers)  from 15 countries with the aim of promoting liveable urban spaces by rethinking the transport system in an ecological and smart way, also in light of the objectives set by individual cities. Only two partners are Italian, ENEA and the city of Milan, plus the PolHub Foundation as associated partner. The EIT Urban Mobility, expects to mobilize financial resources up to 1.6 billion euros in its 7-years planned operations.
