Energy: Legacoop and ENEA sign agreement for circular economy and technology transfer

ENEA President Federico Testa and Legacoop President Mauro Lusetti signed a memorandum of understanding on energy efficiency, the circular economy and digital transition to support innovative start-ups in cooperative entrepreneurship also through the "Fund for technology transfer", with the aim of promoting and strengthening innovation transfer to new green companies- like energy community cooperatives- and  qualify their innovation processes.

"With this renewed collaboration with ENEA Legacoop aims to accelerate technology transfer processes related to the green tech transition, enabling cooperatives to develop innovative and sustainable growth paths, also necessary to meet challenges and seize opportunities of the Next Generation EU plan“  Legacoop President Mauro Lusetti pointed out.

"This agreement allows us to make available to an important association like Legacoop, strongly committed to sustainabiity, ENEA services and advanced and frontier technologies for energy efficiency, closure of cycles, renewable sources, the circular economy and transfer of innovation ”, ENEA President  Federico Testa said.

Specific working groups will be set up to boost the innovation offer of economic and social importance, already acquired in ongoing experiments and initiatives, with particular attention to "deep tech" ones, in order to spread them by widening  the pool of  research bodies involved, territorial areas of intervention, production chains and sectors concerned.

Other areas of shared commitment include design and implementation of business acceleration programs to encourage the establishment and growth of innovative research "spin off" companies, development of new generation tools and services for the incubation phase, with particular reference to access to capital and transfer of skills among laboratories, start-ups and medium and large enterprises.
