Innovation: ENEA and RINA Consulting join forces to strengthen technology transfer

ENEA and RINA Consulting, an engineering consultancy company of the RINA group, have signed an agreement to transfer innovative technologes to industry and strenghten the offer of advanced projects and services developed by the Agency, also through targeted analyses and " proof of concept " projects.

The agreement envisages the mutual involvement of ENEA and RINA in technology transfer initiatives at a national and possibly European level in the energy, environment and new technologies sectors aimed at sustainable development, as well as the enhancement of mutual structures and know-how, to conduct joint activities.

The agreement also foresees the implementation of initiatives and programs in support of research activities of universities and public and private institutes.

"This partnership is part of a set of initiatives launched by ENEA to support and strengthen growth and competitiveness of companies through the transfer of innovative technologies. In such complex and challenging times, a collaboration with a partner of excellence like RINA opens up new perspectives for the benefit of the country", ENEA President Federico Testa pointed out.

"We will share our experience gained in over 20 years of work on technology transfer within European Space Agency programs and more recent ones in the Fusion4Energy and Eurofusion fields. This will bring greater added value to the industrial initiatives we will implement together ”, Roberto Carpaneto, CEO of RINA Consulting said.

"RINA and ENEA will be able to manage a wider range of technologies and skills and support the Italian industrial system in accessing new technologies, accelerating the time-to-market for new products and services and making the innovation process more agile to quickly respond to challenges ”, he concluded.
