Innovative startup companies with a mobility-related business idea have been selected by the second European call for the EIT Urban Mobility Accelerator Program which provides: 15.000 euro funding, a six-month plan offering mentoring, coaching and accompanying services for the validation of technologies, product-market fitting, contacts with investors, availability of co-working space in a selected location, as well as a six-month internship at a selected location with direct access to "living labs" and cities for the creation of new products and services.
The EIT Urban Mobility Accelerator is an EU-funded program, of which ENEA is a partner, addressed at innovative start-ups offering advanced solutions to reduce urban congestion and increase efficiency in the transport system, facilitating the transition to low-emission mobility.
Divided into five European regional hubs (center, north, south, east and west), it is implemented through partners to take early-stage mobility start-ups with a business idea linked to mobility to the next level.
The EIT Urban Mobility, an initiative of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) has been working to transform urban mobility since 2019. Comprising 48 partners from 15 countries, it aims at creating a more ecological, inclusive, safe and smart urban mobility system.
