26/11/2020
In 2019, ENEA research and innovation projects funded by the European Union more than doubled compared to the previous year, as shown by the report "ENEA contracts with the European Commission", which lists a total of 173 projects amounting to approximately 45.5 million euro, of which 60% relating to projects funded under Horizon 2020.
The average ENEA success rate in the period 2014-2019 was 21%, higher than that of the Italian (12%) and EU(12.6%) participants. Of the 173 programs in which Enea participated, it coordinated 33, i.e. 19% of the total, of which 16 under Horizon 2020 (15%).
The analysis shows that most of the projects concerned energy (42%), followed by the environment (20%) and life sciences and materials - approximately 6% each- followed by the ICT.
