"ScienzaInsieme" was created to combine the transversal competences of research institutions and to set up a reference institutional pole for scientific dissemination able to fulfill the so-called "third mission", the enhancement of science in the national and international scene.

With this objective "ScienzaInsieme" aims to build a network able to deal with institutions, institutions, public administrations and the territory, both in the role of "incubator" of projects and ideas and as promoter of events and events of scientific dissemination, even in synergy with the most important national cultural institutions, like the one already started with the MAXXI in the European Researchers' Night, on September 28th.

The launch of "ScienzaInsieme" will also be the occasion to present the new "partnership" with the "European Researchers' Night Apulia 2018-2019 - Discovering the Fascinating World of Research" - ERN Apulia, the project funded by the European Commission within Marie Sklodowska Curie actions, to disseminate scientific culture and support the role of research in building the future of society. At the center of the project, the Researchers' Night 2018, scheduled for Friday September 28th in six Apulian cities (Bari, Brindisi, Foggia, Lecce, Taranto and Castellana Grotte) with initiatives that will concern the Universe, the Subatomic World, the Biosphere, the Heritage Cultural, Human Sciences and Future Technologies. People can get in touch with the world of researchers through visits to laboratories, experiments, debates, scientific cafés, CitizenScience initiatives and shows or stop to learn about the history of researchers and their discoveries, to better understand successes and difficulties. There will also be activities for children as games and interactive workshops. In addition to "ScienzaInsieme", the ERN Apulia initiative, coordinated by the University of Salento, involves CNR, INFN, ENEA, IIT, the University and the Polytechnic of Bari, the University of Foggia, the IRCCS-DeBellis of Castellana Grotte and the National Archaeological Museum of Taranto (MArTA).

A "journey" between interactive shows, documentaries, live experiments, exhibitions and games in the excellence of Italian research to bring the vistors closer to the world of science and technological innovation, but also to introduce young people and students to opportunities in the employment field and training.
