Industry 4.0: At the start laboratory of hi-tech components for airplanes, engines and medical prostheses

MAIA lab on advanced materials for producing future 3D printing inks and manufacturing hi-tech components for aircrafts, engine parts and, in perspective, medical prostheses, is born at the ENEA Casaccia Research Center near Rome. New NATO project to help with real-time detection of explosives in public transport

Technology: Inaugurated most powerful supercomputer in Southern Italy

Research: 2.5 million fund established to "bring” new technologies to industry

ENEA launches the new "Proof of Concept" program which foresees the allocation of 2.5 million euros over three years to "bring" the research outcomes of the Agency to industrial use. The fund will provide the Agency's researchers with the financial resources to build industrial prototypes, increasing the level of maturity of the technologies developed in the laboratory. The call for tenders to select the projects to be funded, which will be subsequently selected by a panel of experts, has already started this month.
